{Easter} Bunny Bark

I can’t quite believe it’s Easter time already, but, it is! That means decadent treats and a little indulgence. Scrolling through Instagram one night I came across these amazing shards of heavenly chocolatey goodness. It’s so simple they barely require a ‘recipe’ – I feel I bit silly even typing it up, but here it is, have a bash! These are going to two very special teachers!

What you’ll need:

3 x 150g Cadbury Bubbly Bars (or just Cadbury Dairy Milk)

1 x packet Speckled Eggs

6 x small candy covered Easter eggs

Baking parchment

Baking tray

Ziplock bag

Rolling pin

Melt the chocolate over a pot of boiling water. I created a ‘double boiler’ by placing a mixing bowl over the pot of water, or you could melt it in the microwave, but I’m particularly good at burning it that way!

Put the candy eggs into a ziplock bag and bash with a rolling pin.

Prepare a baking tray with a sheet of baking parchment. Spread the melted chocolate evenly and then scatter with the speckled eggs and broken candy egg shells. Lightly press the candy into the chocolate. You could also use sprinkles or any other chocolate/sweets you want – the possibilities are endless!

It will take a few hours to set in a cool spot of the kitchen, you can chill for 30 minutes in the fridge, but the chocolate might get a bit speckled from the extreme temperature change. Once set, break or cut  into shards, et voila, Bunny Bark!
