| WIN a 4 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION TO WACKY BOX | Preschool in a box!

When Wacky Box contacted me to send the kids one of their boxes and do a review I literally leapt at the chance! I’ve had both kids home with me since 15 March and the timing of this box couldn’t have been any better.

Wacky Box is quite literally everything you need for 16 educational activities per month, something I’ve really valued especially with having Sophie at home – it keeps her occupied while I put on my Grade 2 Teacher and Therapist’s hat and she’s happy as Larry. Afrikaans? No problem! Wacky Box comes in English and Afrikaans and their boxes range from 5-12 months, 1 – 2 years, 2 – 4 years, 4 – 6 years. We got the 4-6 years box and Oli who’s 7 turning 8 in a couple of months still enjoyed the majority of the activities! I’ve been so worried about keeping the kids stimulated enough during this lockdown but this has been the perfect solution.

What blew me away was how explanatory each activity was and how much attention to detail had been paid, with fabulous tips and that absolutely everything you needed for an activity was in the box. So often (after watching the likes of Mister Maker!) my kids will come to me and ask for a range of craft goodies, of which I have almost nothing, so Wacky Box ticked all the ‘boxes’ for me! The varied gross and fine motor activities are well researched with some added sensory activities, and I can’t recommend this enough. You can subscribe monthly (each month has a specific theme) – or imagine gifting someone one for their birthday (there’s even a gift box option)!

Our favourite activities have to have been:

  • Gross motor ball skills
  • Bat and ball skills (the bat was made out of the actual Wacky Box packaging!)
  • Playdough cutting
  • The ziplocked gelatine bag with the coloured beads (both the kids loved this the most)
  • Cork Painting
  • Zig-Zag cutting (this kept Soph busy for ages learning to manipulate the paper and not the scissors!)

Who wants to win a FOUR MONTH SUBSCRIPTION (16 activities in each box) to keep YOUR child busy for the next four months (your kids just need to be aged between 5 months and 6 years of age)?
