Baking with Soph – Pillsbury Celebration Cake

If you’ve yet to catch up on our first two bakes with Pillsbury – we’ve made Frosted Brownie Slices and a Banana & Walnut Bundt Cake – go check them out and then add this fabulous Celebration Cake to your repertoire! My wonderful husband had a birthday recently, so we leapt at the opportunity to make a Pillsbury Funfetti™ Cake covered in sprinkles for him!

This cake was so delicious, honestly, and what a fun experience for Soph to play with all these sprinkles – a sensory delight!

Ingredients:

1 x box Pillsbury Funfetti™ Cake Mix

(250ml Water, 85ml Oil, 2 Eggs)

1 x tub Pillsbury Ready-to-Spread Vanilla Flavoured Frosting

Sprinkles to decorate

Method:

  1. Mix up Funfetti™ Cake Mix, Eggs, Oil and Water as per box instructions.
  2. Pour the ready Cake Mix into a greased Springform pan or divide the mixture into two smaller cake pans and bake as per box instructions.
  3. Once baked and cooled, cover the entire cake with an even layer of Pillsbury Ready-to-Spread Frosting.

Press generous handfuls of sprinkles all over the cake (with the cake stand in a tray to help eliminate some of the mess) and tip off the excess sprinkles back into the tray – voila, the perfect celebration cake!
